CIRI Issues Backgrounder: Notice-and-Access
The Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA) recently adopted amendments to improve the delivery process by which reporting issuers send proxy-related materials to and solicit proxies and voting instructions from registered holders and beneficial owners of their securities (‘shareholders’). The goal is to reduce delivery costs and improve delivery timelines. Proxy materials still need to be filed on SEDAR.
