UPDATED: CIRI Issues Backgrounder - Notice-And-Access Implementation

The recently issued CIRI Backgrounder of February 20, 2013 regarding Notice-and-Access Implementation cautioned CIRI members to review their governing statues (e.g. Canada Business Corporations Act) as they considered implementing a Notice-and-Access process. Subsequently, regulators have issued notices at least partially clarifying their positions regarding the process for those issuers governed by either the CBCA or by the Ontario Business Corporations Act.
