CIRI Issues Advocacy: CIRI Submission to CSA on Access Equals Delivery Model
On July 5, CIRI submitted our recommendations on the Canadian Securities Administrators'(CSA) Proposed Amendments and Proposed Changes to Implement an Access Equals Delivery Model For Non-investment Fund Reporting Issuers. CIRI agrees in principle with the objective of the CSA to implement access equals delivery (AED Model) and that it will modernize the way documents are made available to investors. It will reduce costs to issuers while still providing investors with key information to make investment decisions and without compromising investor protection. The proposed AED Model is also more environmentally friendly. In addition, CIRI suggests that the implementation of the improved version of SEDAR+ be given high priority, particularly given the central role it will play once the AED Model is fully implemented.
