BC Chapter Update:

The BC Chapter held its AGM in April. Although the turnout was lighter than we have seen over the past few years, 55% of CIRI members were represented either in person or by proxy. 

This year we experienced some turnover at the executive level. Lynette Gould has completed the maximum six years on the Executive. Dave Salmon and Jamie Kokoska have stepped down after four and two years respectively. The Chapter thanks Lynette, Dave and Jamie for their service and commitment to making CIRI a viable and valuable organization. 

Your 2016-2017 Executive includes Lisa May, Kettina Cordero, Rory Quinn, Monica Hamm, Erin O’Toole, Allison Pettit, Arne Gulstene and Sandra Daycock. Welcome to new members Allison and Rory!

After the AGM, attendees participated in a ‘speed dating’ style networking event.  Each twosome spent five minutes together with the intent of getting to know one another better professionally. Participants were asked to try to understand their colleagues’ professional challenges, goals and ideas. Feedback from the event has been extremely positive with members saying the networking involved more professional depth and structure than other programs. New members in attendance expressed gratitude for the opportunity to meet all attendees one-on-one.
