The IR profession is practiced in a constantly evolving environment. This is why your participation in CIRI’s Annual Investor Relations Conference is the premier opportunity of the year to build your network with fellow IROs, while sharing knowledge, best practices and ideas. This leading professional development event is critical to advancing the IR profession and enabling its growth as a core role at the heart of every public organization.
With that in mind, CIRI’s 29th Annual Investor Relations Conference program has been developed by a committee of IROs from across Canada. This year’s theme, “360° of IR: Creating Value for the Long Term”, reflects the strategic role that IR professionals play in representing companies and shaping messaging and visuals to convey corporate stories, as well as building trust against a backdrop of challenging markets and cyclical industries.
The program covers a wide array of topics relevant to the role, for every level of experience in IR. This year brings the opportunity to hear from keynote speakers: Myron Stadnyk, President and Chief Executive Officer of ARC Resources Inc., Richard Yamarone, Bloomberg Intelligence Economist and J. Royden Ward, Chief Analyst and Founder at Cabot Benjamin Graham Value Investor. Other speakers will include Board members, fund managers, research analysts, equity traders, governance and legal specialists and IROs from a broad range of industries. From the boardroom to the markets, the topics covered over three days of programming will provide a 360° view of the various elements that IR practitioners tackle on a daily basis, such as effective engagement with stakeholders – internal and external; market dynamics; the current economic climate; roadshows; investor presentations; and regulatory and disclosure requirements.
Beyond the conference program and its majestic venue, the Fairmont Le Château Frontenac, we have organized a number of optional activities to enrich the experience as you and your peers embrace the historic charm of Québec City. Network with colleagues while you golf at Le Grand Portneuf Golf course, wander through old Québec on a culinary tour or explore the natural beauty of La Belle Province while taking in Jacques Cartier National Park.
Consider this your opportunity to broaden your horizons by sharing stories with those who are at the heart of it all so that we can create more value for our organizations for the long term.
We look forward to seeing you in Québec City.
