Jay Ruckenstein

CIRI is deeply saddened by the sudden passing of our friend and colleague Jay Ruckenstein on August 1, 2020 in Montreal, Quebec.

At the time of his passing, Jay was studying for the Certified Professional in Investor Relations (CPIR) designation. In his short time with CIRI he showed himself to be an explorer and connector of ideas who sought a greater understanding of the world and people around him. His classmates remember him as charismatic, generous and kind, with a wicked sense of humour.

He began his career as a CA and CFA in New York City before returning to Montreal and embarking on an entrepreneurial path as the President of SoftLab9, Founder of APPx Crypto Technologies and Chief Business Development Officer at ECI Investor Marketing.

Jay leaves behind his wife, Anne, and his children, Calenne and Aiden.

Jay was a shining light and his enthusiasm will be greatly missed. Rest in peace, Jay.
