CIRI Congratulates the 2023 Award Recipients

Award recipients were honoured during an Awards Ceremony at CIRI’s 36th Annual Investor Relations Conference held in Toronto on May 29, 2023.

And the winners are...

Award for Excellence in Investor Relations

Isabelle Adjahi, F.CIRI, Vice President, Investor Relations & Sustainable Development at The Lion Electric Company was chosen as the 35th recipient of the Award for Excellence in Investor Relations. The Award is given by CIRI to honour individuals who have made a significant contribution to the investor relations profession and to the Institute.

Isabelle Adjahi is a highly regarded and distinguished role model for the investor relations community. Over her 25 years as a CIRI member, she has been instrumental in the creation of CIRI’s Standards & Guidance for Disclosure and the Guide to Developing an IR Program and subsequent iterations, as well as a builder, leader, enthusiastic speaker, panelist and mentor for the Quebec Chapter and to CIRI National for over 20 years. She has served on both the Quebec Chapter Executive in many positions and on the CIRI National Board and Committees.

Isabelle inspires others with her passion for and dedication to the IR profession. She is a true champion of the role and understands the value that IROs bring to their organizations. Congratulations Isabelle.

Belle Milligan Award for Leadership in Investor Relations


Christopher (Chris) Haldane, an investor relations executive with more than 15 years of experience, is the recipient of the 2023 Belle Mulligan Award for Leadership in Investor Relations. This Award is given by CIRI, in honour of Belle Mulligan, to recognize individuals who have shown singular leadership in one or more aspects of the practice of investor relations.

Chris started his career as an investor relations consultant, moving into a corporate investor relations role in 2011. Over the years, he has held increasingly senior investor relations positions with Starcore International Mines Ltd., Marathon Gold Corporation, Caldas Gold Corp, GCM Mining and Denarius. Chris also serves on the CIRI Ontario Executive, a role he assumed in 2019.

Most recently, Chris worked as the Vice President of investor relations for two companies, helping to navigate and guide one company through a merger while still delivering on his IR responsibilities for the second company, including all investor and analyst outreach plus conference participation.

CIRI Recognizes Four Distinguished Investor Relations Professionals

The CIRI Fellowship Program, launched in 2015, recognizes leaders in the investor relations profession who, by their achievements, bring distinction to the profession and serve as role models for others. CIRI Fellows have made significant contributions to the advancement of the investor relations profession and to CIRI throughout their careers. Earning the designation of F.CIRI, the CIRI Fellow, is the highest honour for investor relations professionals in Canada.
