British Columbia Chapter Update
The CIRI BC Chapter Holiday Social on December 4 was a resounding success, bringing together members, sponsors and new guests for an evening of celebration and connection. Sponsored by Olympia Trust Company and 121 Group, the event provided a festive atmosphere where attendees could expand their networks, reconnect with familiar faces and form new relationships within the investor relations community.
This gathering was not only an opportunity to reflect on the Chapter’s accomplishments over the past year but also to express gratitude to its sponsors, volunteers and members. Wrapping up the year with such a dynamic and engaging event set a positive tone for continuing collaboration and success in the year ahead.
Ontario Chapter Update
The Ontario Chapter had a busy year-end with successful professional development and social events.
In November, members participated in a media training session conducted by National Public Relations and led by Jane Taber, a former national journalist with over 30 years of experience. Members put their skills to the test by breaking into small working groups and conducting hard-hitting mock interviews in front of the camera. They then watched the videos and discussed feedback with peers. Each member walked away with individualized feedback and areas for improvement. This was an engaging event, with everyone participating and learning together. We were lucky to have this incredible hands-on experience and the ability to learn from one of the best in the field.
CIRI Ontario held its annual Holiday Party in early December, sponsored by Irwin and Generation IACP. There was a large turnout, with many highly coveted prizes generously donated by banks, vendors and other organizations from our network. Members met with old friends and colleagues for a night of fun, food and drink and catching up on the latest events in the IR world.
