CIRI Chapter Updates

British Columbia Chapter Update

In June, CIRI BC hosted its annual Summer Social at Vancouver’s Nat Bailey Stadium, bringing together IR professionals for an evening of baseball, networking and community building.

Attendees enjoyed a lively game accompanied by BBQ food and drinks, creating the perfect backdrop for conversation and connection. The event drew strong attendance and provided a valuable opportunity for members to expand their networks across a range of industries.

The BC Summer Social highlighted the strength of Vancouver’s IR community and offered valuable opportunities for professional relationships in a relaxed setting.

Ontario Chapter Update

CIRI Ontario’s Chapter Executive reconvened in Toronto during Q3 for its first post-AGM meeting, combining governance discussions with team building. The session confirmed committee memberships for the year ahead and involved planning around professional development, member engagement, and networking events; all subjects that continue to resonate with the Chapter’s community.

During the quarter, the Chapter Executive conducted a member survey and has been aligning its strategy with the results and feedback received, ensuring that upcoming programming reflects the interests and priorities of Ontario’s IR professionals. Preparations are underway for fall PD sessions and other events.

As Q3 closed, the Ontario Chapter Executive remained focused on strengthening governance, delivering engaging programming, and building connections that add value for members throughout the year.
