CIRI Ontario Chapter Update

We had great turnout at our May event on Turning Lists into Better Shareholder Intelligence. The discussion was followed by the CIRI Ontario AGM and presentation of the 2014 Professional of the Year Award to Belinda Labatte, President and Founder of The Capital Lab Inc.  

The CIRI Ontario Board is busy making preparations for the upcoming year, with plans for the first luncheon event on September 2, featuring Faye Dodds, Vice President, Investor Relations at Burberry.

CIRI Quebec Chapter Update

The Quebec Chapter’s 2013-2014 season was an enormous success.  The final meeting was an interactive IR Think Tank and Cocktail, featuring IR Magazine Editor Neil Stewart. Stewart, along with several other leaders in the field of investor relations, facilitated a lively discussion on some of the best and worst IR practices.

The many events held over the last season included speakers from different industries and fields, all touching on different aspects of IR. Attendance at all the events was very strong.

Planning for the 2014-2015 season is well underway, with the first event of the season taking place on September 24, featuring Stephane Milot, Vice President, Finance and Investor Relations, RONA Inc. and Roberto Sbrugnera, Senior Director, Treasury, Risk and Investor Relations, Metro Inc. The other upcoming sessions will also feature guests who will present relevant, interesting and informative perspectives on IR topics.
