I cannot believe that it is December! It seems like only yesterday that September came and went, along with several other months. This is clearly a sign of the times and the pace to which we have all become accustomed.

Over these months, we have been implementing initiatives based on your feedback – taken directly from our Member Needs Survey conducted in late 2013. These initiatives are aimed at keeping members informed of leading IR practices, providing resources that will make your jobs easier and allowing you to demonstrate greater value to your management teams. Accordingly, we hosted two free-to-member webinars, we completed a survey on guidance practices and we initiated CIRI’s IR Compensation and Responsibilities Survey. This month, we launched the first phases of the IR document library, with resources on Disclosure and Marketing. These are new member benefits that complement existing ones such as advocacy, professional development, publications, job postings and more.

I would like to thank all of you for your membership and commitment to the organization and the IR profession.

Looking ahead, 2015 is shaping up to be another busy year. I encourage you to renew your membership to benefit from all that CIRI and our community offers.

As this year comes to an end, take the time to disconnect (as much as possible!) from the hectic work pace and spend quality time with your loved ones. I wish you a safe and happy holiday.
